How does My 5k Dream work?

Whether you want to get healthier and fitter, achieve an exciting goal, or just have something for yourself, My 5k Dream will get you to where you want to go. 

 

My 5k Dream is the trusted programme in beginner running. It has helped over 4000 beginner runners go from doing nothing to completing the goal of running 5km non-stop and the results speak for themselves.

 

Our runners tell us that they are healthier and fitter, have more energy and they love that running has given them more confidence around exercise. They feel good about themselves, have made social connections within the team and it's now a normal part of their lives.  

 

My 5k Dream is a 10 week online training course that includes the key ingredients that creates success, we call it ‘The 4 Step Beginner Runners Plan'.

Our '4 Step Beginner Runners Plan' 

Step 1:

The Programme: Designed for total beginners

The programme has everything you need for the physical side of achieving the goal of running 5km, including:

 

- The Walk/Jog programme 

- Post Run Stretch Video

- Strength Technique Video 

- Strength Circuit Videos 1 & 2

- Beginner Runners Technique Workshop

- Beginner Runners Yoga Workout

Step 2:

The Mentoring: Guiding you through each session 

There are 10 mentoring sessions that work alongside the 10 weeks of training. These video sessions are designed to hold your hand through the whole process week by week. The 25-45min video sessions cover things like:

 

- Nutrition tips 

- Mind strategies that build success 

- How to stay motivated

- How to look after your body along the way

- How to create and maintain healthy habits

Step 3:

The Practical - Important tools you need 

While you need a great programme and a mentor to guide you through your journey, there are other more practical things you need including:

 

- Women's needs (for running) video 

- Injury management video with a top sport physiotherapist

- A 'What you need' video

- A community to support you on your journey. We have our very own private Facebook community with people just like you to support you along the way.

Step 4:

You run 5km!

You run 5km! This is when you will have transformed yourself into a fitter, healthier version of yourself. Where you feel good about yourself and be proof that beginners can and should be successful with exercise. You become the inspiration to people around you.
